A block of rooms has been reserved at The Hilton Garden Inn & the Rensselaer Banquet and Conference Facility. The reduced room rate is $98.00, plus applicable state & local taxes (currently 11%), per room, per night for single, double, triple or quad occupancy. To receive the reduced rate and ensure availability, you must reserve your room no later than September 6 or until the room allotment is full, whichever occurs first.  After this date, all remaining rooms will be released and accommodations will be accepted based on availability.

Please note: A limited number of accessible sleeping rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

The hotel will make every effort to honor specific room requests based on availability. Check-in time is 4:00 PM. Guest room availability and check-in cannot be guaranteed before that time. Check-out time is 12:00 PM. A room will be provided for luggage storage in the event that functions do not end prior to check-out.

Getting Around

Train service: The Amtrak train station is located in Rensselaer, NY. Call 1-800-USA-RAIL, go to www.amtrak.com, or visit the station nearest you to make reservations. Passengers who require wheelchair accessible transportation should call 1-800-USA-RAIL in advance of their travel, to reserve accessible space. Ask the reservation agent about discounted rates for passengers with disabilities.

Air travel: The Albany International Airport is a short 15 minutes away.

Complimentary shuttle service to and from the hotel and the train station or airport is available to all attendees staying at the Hilton Garden Inn & Rensselaer Banquet and Conference Facility with an advance reservation.  To make a reservation for shuttle service, please call the Hilton Garden Inn, (518) 272-1700 at least 48 hours prior to arrival but not less than 24 hours.  If you require accessible shuttle service, please specify when making your reservation.  Please be sure to reserve your shuttle seat for your return at this time.

Inter-city bus service: The Greyhound bus station is located in downtown Albany. To purchase tickets, call 1-800-231-2222, go to www.greyhound.com, or visit the Greyhound terminal nearest you. Passengers who require wheelchair accessible transportation should contact the Greyhound Customers with Disabilities Travel Assistance Line at 1-800-752-4841, at least 48 hours prior to your departure. If you are traveling with a personal attendant, your attendant may be issued a 50% discounted ticket to travel with you.

Taxi service: Accessible taxi service is available from the airport and the Amtrak train station by calling Capitaland Taxi at (518) 438-8080. It is best to call Capitaland ahead to reserve an accessible taxi.

Local bus service: The Capital District Transit Authority (CDTA) provides bus service to the Albany region. For maps, schedules, fares and other information call (518) 482-2022 or visit www.cdta.org.

Paratransit: If you require wheelchair accessible transportation to and from the hotel, contact STAR Specialized Transit.  STAR is the paratransit service for the Albany area, available through CDTA. Reservations are required for all STAR trips.. Trip reservations must be made no later than 5PM the day before your planned trip. Reservations may be made up to 14 days in advance during the reservation hours of 9AM to 8PM daily, 7 days a week including holidays.  Call STAR at (518) 482-2022 for information and an application.
